Will I prevent my metabolism from slowing down on a low calorie Diet with cardio exercise?
I’m on low calorie Diet For Weight Loss, but I’m scared that my metabolism will go into ‘starvation mode’. Will adding regular cardio workouts to my routine prevent this? I know exercise is supposed to speed up metabolism, so will this work? Thanks
Yes, the exercise will prevent the drop in metabolism. It will also be a good indicator of whether or not you are getting enough calories. Starvation mode usually only happens with severe and unhealthy diets. If you feel weak or light headed during your workout then you know you are not eating enough whatever The Diet says. Try not to think about it as dieting. Think about it as living healthy.
